Saugerties Central School District

Seth Turner

Welcome to the Saugerties Central School District, a place where great things are always happening!

It has been my pleasure to serve as your Superintendent since August 2009, and as a building administrator and teacher before that. My priorities as Superintendent have been, and continue to be:

  • Constant growth and improvement of our challenging academic program, which prepares students for college and careers
  • Creating the best possible learning environment by keeping each and every one of our students and staff safe on all five of our campuses
  • Preparing students for the future by increasing the use of 21st century technology in the classroom

Our focus on these three goals has paid off. The Class of 2015 received more than $82,000 in local scholarships and more than 80 percent of the class planned to attend college after graduation. A Saugerties student was also the 2015 Valedictorian at the Ulster BOCES Career & Technical Center. In the fall of 2014, 78 student athletes from eight varsity Sawyer teams earned the Mid-Hudson Athletic League’s Academic Award. In January 2015, Saugerties High School was one of only 10 schools in the state selected to attend Governor Cuomo’s State of the State Address in Albany.

From the classroom and the playing fields to the music room and beyond, success is everywhere in Saugerties.

I invite you to use this website as a gateway to all the great things our students are doing. Please visit often and stay connected.

Thank you for your continued support of education in Saugerties.
