"All Students Can Learn"
At Saugerties Central School District we believe that all students can learn; however, we understand that the way in which each student achieves knowledge may vary. Children with disabilities are learning and achieving at unprecedented levels across the state. The IDEA also known as the Federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act establishes a collaborative role for parents and teachers in planning and implementing educational programs for eligible students with disabilities. Students with disabilities deserve the extra support and resources they need to learn in an environment with their non-disabled peers to the fullest extent possible in all aspects of school and community life.
It is our hope that the information available on the website will help familiarize you with the CPSE and CSE processes, answer questions and help in your understanding of various roles.
