Good morning everyone. Looks like a rainy morning but clearing in the afternoon. I have assigned a Junior Scholastic article about the Aztec Empire, along with a video and three Close-Reading questions to go with it. After watching the video and reading the article “Lost Treasure”, use the Google forms link to answer the questions and submit to me. This assignment will be due on Monday, which should give you plenty of time.
Please make sure you continue checking in once a day either by leaving a Google classroom comment or by email. If you don’t check in you will be marked absent for that day. Even if you have checked in on Ms. Ciccone’s classroom, you still must check in with me.
Have a great day, and reach out if you have any questions. :)
Good morning everyone. I hope you were able to enjoy some of the sunshine yesterday, and again today (using proper social distancing of course :)). I have posted a BrainPop video and quiz assignment for you to watch and complete by Thursday. When you log in to BrainPop the username is saugerties, and the password is brainpop. That log in information will work any time for BrainPop.
Thank you to the many of you who have already completed your Scholastic News assignment! Please continue with at least 15 minutes per day on I-Ready reading pathways, and as always, free feel to email me or post a comment through Google Classroom with any questions.
Have a great day, and stay healthy :)
Good morning everyone! I hope everyone had a good weekend. You should notice that I have an assignment up on Google Classroom for today that will be due on Wednesday. It is a short Junior Scholastic article about Coronavirus, with a link to a document where you are to answer your close reading questions. Read the article first, then open the document and answer the questions in complete sentences, providing supporting details from the article.
You should also continue doing a minimum of 10-15 minutes/day of I-Ready reading, and continue working on the packets if you have not finished. I will make most new assignments due two days later to provide you with enough time to ask questions if you have any, and to work on assignments for other classes.
Please email me or post questions in the Google classroom comments section if you have any.
Have a great day!!
Good morning everyone. I hope you are all doing well. Yesterday’s participation was our best yet, so keep up the good work. Please continue with I-Ready and the packets.
I know some of you are finished already...good job! Maybe use your extra time to read a good book, or post a comment today about what you have been reading. Remember that you can log in to Accelerated Reader through Clever. Happy Friday!! :)

Good morning everyone. I want to thank those students who are checking in each “school” day through either Google Classroom or email. Besides the fact that it is the only way to take attendance right now, it demonstrates responsibility and independence...two traits that will be very important in Jr. High and beyond.
For today, continue working on the packets and I-Ready reading. I am pleased to see that almost everyone is spending at least 15-20 minutes on the I-Ready reading pathways. Starting next week I will add a few assignments to the assignment page which you will probably complete using Google docs and sharing them through email.
Please don’t hesitate to email or post any questions you may have.
Starting Monday, March 30th:
(Sign in to Clever using the directions from the link above.)
**Please spend at least 20 minutes per school day working on I-Ready reading pathways. Sign in through Clever.com**
