•  Welcome,

I wanted to make a change to this page during the Covid 19 pandemic and the unique challenges we are all facing.

If any parent or student would like to contact me you can leave a message on 845-247-6500 ext. 2804 and I will return the call or you can email me, gkiniry@saugerties.K12.ny.us. I will be available to answer questions, provide resources and offer support.
The Saugerties Central School District has also been keeping updated information and resource listings on their website. The Guidance Department and Student Supports have additional resources available on their websites as well.

Please stay healthy and safe and I hope we will all be together soon... Gina Kiniry

The start of the 2019-20 school year marks my 34th year as the school social worker for grades 7-12 .  As the social worker I  work directly with students, staff and parents/guardians to help facilitate a positive and productive learning environment for all.
I also manage ReDirect and am proud to announce that ReDirect continues to be a very active office for all students and staff and is located in the  Junior High Counseling Center.  ReDirect, working closely with staff,  faculty and administration,  addresses issues of bullying, harassment and discrimination in addition to other issues and concerns that may be effecting our students. We have an open door policy but we do encourage students to come by during homeroom, lunch and/or study hall depending on the issue.  Immediate attention is always given to crisis and safety situations.
Mr. Averill and I are Co-Coordinators of the Dignity Act and we do attend on going trainings offered by BOCES.  Specific goals of the training are to educate, inform and motivate staff to implement this law with expertise.  Sessions have included Dignity Act background , implementation, definitions, reporting and cross-district networking.
I welcome all calls (247-6500 x2804) and emails (gkiniry@Saugerties.k12.ny.us) from parents/guardians and I look forward to working with you and your children.
