To uniformly deliver comprehensive academic planning services to all students.

• Conduct annual individual and/or group counseling sessions on program and course selections as established in department meetings
• Review and maintain student records, which include report cards, transcripts, meeting notes, and other pertinent documentation as necessary
• Ongoing verification of credits and course work for graduation requirements, grade level retention, and diploma types
• Grade level classroom presentation and/or class assembly regarding course sections, academic expectations and graduation requirements as established in Department Meetings
• Check report cards and progress reports when issued and address students’ areas of concern
• Make program adjustments as needed after reviewing academic records and consulting with teachers, parents, and the student
• Facilitate student/parent/teacher group conferences
• Individual teacher-requested conferences will be scheduled by the teacher and the school counselor will attend when invited
• Will attend CSE, 504, RTI, and IST meetings and submit pertinent information to appropriate coordinator

To provide developmental career counseling/post-secondary planning to students at each grade level so they obtain the knowledge and skills necessary to be college and career-ready.

• Conduct annual individual/group guidance sessions concerning career planning which cover self-esteem, career exploration and career planning
• Counselors will encourage students to utilize the online career development program (Naviance) annually
• Continue to offer ACT PLAN/ASPIRE and PSAT testing and follow-up meetings
• Counselors participate in the planning and setup of the county-wide career conference and facilitate individual panel discussions
• Counselors will encourage 10^th graders to participate in the Ulster County Career Conference through classroom presentations and/or individual meetings
• Work with graduating seniors on post-high school planning 9inlcudes application assistance, transcript preparation, financial aid, scholarship information and letters of recommendation)
