Passport to Learning at Cahill Elementary School

Cahill Elementary School students spent the past month exploring the world without leaving campus. Each class selected a country to study, creating poster boards filled with facts, pictures of their flags, and meaningful objects that represented their chosen place.

Two High School students from Sarah Elia's English Language Learners class had a special opportunity to share their love of reading with younger learners at Cahill Elementary School. Saugerties High School senior Sara Dubon Hernandez and sophomore Mariana Konyk visited Elizabeth Lopez’s Kindergarten classroom for a bilingual read-aloud.

Pumpkin fun was in full swing at Cahill Elementary!

Students in Erika Warren’s class teamed up with Assistant Principal Tricia Pipitone and Principal Laura Cahill for a hands-on pumpkin carving lesson. One group created a cheerful “happy pumpkin,” while the other designed a “scary, silly pumpkin.”

Students Learn About the Americas

Cahill Grade 5 students in Jamie Temple’s class recently explored regions of the Americas, including North and South America, Mesoamerica, and the Caribbean.
