GDM Student Council Present Checks to Several Organizations
After discussing how the funds should be used, students made the decisions themselves. They chose to purchase two moveable speakers that can be used in physical education and music classes, as well as an inflatable movie screen and projector that will help create a drive-in style movie night experience for the school community.
Students also decided to support several organizations that make a difference in the lives of others. Donations were made to the Ronald McDonald House, the American Legion Post 72, the Saugerties Animal Shelter, and Adaptive Design Hudson Valley.
Representatives from the organizations were invited to a special check presentation. Greg Dette, executive director of Adaptive Design Hudson Valley, and Arin Vandemark, vice commander of American Legion Post 72, were on hand to accept their organizations' donations.
The Student Council's thoughtful decisions and commitment to helping others demonstrate how even the smallest contributions can make a meaningful impact.

Grant D. Morse Elementary School (GDM) celebrated the end of the school year with a Success Parade, giving students the opportunity to share what they were most proud of accomplishing this year.
The Grant D. Morse Elementary School Student Council and its cabinet showed the power of student leadership and giving back after raising nearly $3,000 during a Penny Social earlier this school year.

The Grant D. Morse Student Council helped bring some extra fun to the end of the school year by hosting a Glow in the Dark Black Light Neon Dance Party for every class in the school!

Students in Grant D. Morse Elementary School's Dance Club recently showcased their talents during an end-of-year recital after months of learning and practicing ballet, tap, lyrical, and hip-hop dance styles.

Everyone was getting a little buggy at Grant D. Morse Elementary school recently! That's because Grade 2 students took to the stage for their annual school play, "Goin' Buggy!", and delivered a performance full of energy, music, dancing and smiles. Fellow students, families, and staff enjoyed watching our young performers shine after weeks of hard work and preparation.
