Last week, Grant D. Morse Elementary honored Veterans Day with an assembly that brought students, families, and veterans together.
Grade 3 students in Amy Dunaief’s art class at Grant D. Morse Elementary School recently had the amazing opportunity to learn from local weaving artist Halyna Shepko! Not only did they get hands-on experience weaving, but they also learned about Shepko’s Ukrainian culture.
In honor of Fire Prevention Week (October 6-12), our Saugerties Elementary Schools got an exciting hands-on lesson in fire safety! Students learned crucial tips like how to stop, drop, and roll, watched firefighters in action with their gear, and even got to explore the inside of a fire truck!
These dedicated young musicians have been receiving one-on-one lessons from their talented band teacher, Sarah Hansen, as they prepare for the upcoming Winter Concert.
