Grade 3 Students Build Big Ideas in New Makerspace

Students who stay on track with their work and behavior can earn time in the Makerspace, where creativity takes center stage.

The space is stocked with clay, yarn, Legos, Geo Boards, and robotic kits, giving students plenty of ways to build, design, and experiment.

The Makerspace grew out of a professional development course Stephanie Pettit and Maggie Myers completed through the New York Center for Teacher Development. The result is a hands-on space where art and STEM come together, and student ideas come to life.
