March is Youth Art Month!
At Riccardi, our second graders have been hard at work getting creative by decorating their very own guitars. Inspired by actress, comedian, musician, and artist Kate Micucci—who is known for blending her love of music and visual art by designing beautifully decorated guitars—students explored how art can transform everyday objects into something joyful and unique.
Kate Micucci has continued sharing her passion for art and music through custom guitar collaborations and projects that promote joy and sustainability. Our young artists took that same spirit into the classroom, filling their guitars with color, imagination, and personality!

Riccardi Elementary School marked the month with a fun assembly that focused on caring for those pearly whites. A local orthodontist shared how many baby teeth and adult teeth we have, talked about foods that help teeth stay strong and foods that can cause cavities, and reviewed the right way to brush and floss.
