Riccardi Elementary School Students Honor Local Navy Veteran with Heartfelt Letters

The students wrote heartfelt letters of thanks, which will be part of the Honor Flight’s meaningful mail call. Hudson Valley Honor Flight is a nonprofit that honors American veterans by transporting them to Washington, D.C., to visit war memorials at no cost. This project spearheaded by Stephanie Pettite’s class, says she knows these handwritten notes of gratitude will bring a smile to Whitaker's face and remind him how much his service is appreciated.
