Exciting Announcement from Saugerties Central School District!

This decision was unanimously approved at a Special Board of Education meeting held on June 27. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ulster BOCES District Superintendent Dr. Jonah Shenker, our lead consultant, for his invaluable assistance in helping us select the perfect candidate for our district's top leadership role. Dr. Shenker facilitated a comprehensive survey that allowed us to identify the most desirable qualities in a superintendent candidate. The survey results guided us throughout the selection process, ensuring that we found the best fit for our school community.

Board President Robert Thomann expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "Dr. Erceg perfectly embodies the important traits that our faculty, staff, students, and community identified in the survey." We are confident that Dr. Erceg's experience, expertise, and vision will greatly contribute to the success and growth of our schools.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation to everyone in the district and the community who contributed their time and insights to this crucial decision. Your active participation and valuable input played an essential role in this process, and we are grateful for your dedication to our schools.

As we embark on this new chapter for Saugerties schools, we kindly request your continued support for Dr. Daniel Erceg. Together, let's ensure a smooth transition and work hand-in-hand to provide the best education and opportunities for our students.

Dr. Erceg is replacing Kirk Reinhardt, who resigned from his position on March 31. We extend our appreciation to Mr. Reinhardt for his contributions to our district and wish him the very best in his future endeavors.

Stay tuned for updates as we prepare to welcome Dr. Erceg and embark on an exciting journey of educational excellence in Saugerties Central School District!
