From Saugerties to the Big Leagues: Ethan Conrad Drafted by the Chicago Cubs

After graduating from Saugerties, Ethan went on to play two exceptional seasons at Marist College, where he made an immediate impact on the field. He led the NCAA in triples in 2024 and broke both conference and national records along the way. His achievements earned him multiple honors, including First Team All-MAAC and a spot on the MAAC All-Championship Team. In 2025, he transferred to Wake Forest for one final collegiate season before entering the draft.

Ethan's athleticism, determination, and leadership were clear during his time as a student-athlete in our district, and it’s been inspiring to watch him grow into one of the top prospects in the country.

Congratulations to Ethan and his family on this incredible achievement. The Saugerties community is cheering him on as he takes this next step toward a Major League career.
