Hampton, an author, motivational speaker, and thought leader, focuses on passion, genius, and self-awareness, and we're excited to have him working with our District!
During his visit, Hampton engaged with students in both Grades 7 and 8, sharing insights on combining dream jobs, careers, and passion when envisioning their futures. He emphasized that money doesn't always bring happiness, but loving what you do makes it easier to enjoy going to work.
Students who participated in the Genius Factor Pilot created vision boards and Venn diagrams of their dream jobs, focusing on aligning their passions with their talents and potential careers. It was inspiring to see their creativity and enthusiasm! Later, nominated students showcased their findings in a special roundtable session with peers and teachers, demonstrating remarkable maturity and confidence.
We're so proud of our students for embracing this opportunity to explore their passions and future careers. A big thank you to Torrance Hampton for his motivational visit and to everyone who made this event possible!
