his exhibit, built on 40 years of filming a family of Holocaust survivors in the Bronx, Miami, and a bungalow colony in the Catskills between 1962 and 2016, offers a deeply personal glimpse into one family’s experiences during and after the Holocaust.
The exhibit features six short videos that introduce the Holocaust through the poignant personal stories of these survivors. Six exhibit panels also cover the family's experiences from 1938 through the 21st century, offering a comprehensive look at the impact of the Holocaust across generations.
One of the standout features of the exhibit is the use of QR codes, which bring the survivors’ voices directly into our students' lives, both onsite and at home. The exhibit also provides take-home cards, each containing stories of family members—some who survived and some who didn’t—along with QR code links to the videos. This ensures that the story remains alive and accessible long after the exhibit is over.
We are grateful for the opportunity to host “Messages From Survivors: One Family’s Holocaust Legacy” and to provide our students with such a meaningful educational experience.
