Grade 8 Students Say Good Bye to the Junior High and Hello to the Senior High
Highlights of the ceremony included inspiring speeches from Valedictorian Becky Li and Salutatorian Sydney Poyer. Student Team Speakers Nadia Jurkowski, Isla Morris, Isabella Cuneo, and Braylen Weeks also shared their thoughts on their junior high experience.
Junior High Principal Ginger Vail also recognized our outstanding students with the Junior High Academic Awards also announced the six recipients of SUNY Ulster's President’s Challenge Scholarship. This prestigious scholarship is awarded to select first-generation college-bound students in Ulster County. Starting in Grade 8, these students receive mentoring and college readiness preparation, and upon graduation, they will attend SUNY Ulster tuition-free for two years.

The Junior High Student Government will host a Brooks BBQ Fundraiser on Thursday, October 16, 2025, during Jr./Sr. High Parent-Teacher Conference night.
On June 13, our Grade 8 students at Saugerties Junior High School celebrated their promotion to Grade 9 with a heartfelt Moving-Up Ceremony!
