A former student of Grant D. Morse Elementary, Ryker’s creative design will be featured on stickers distributed to voters across Ulster County this election season. His artwork features a giant slice of New York pizza taking over the Statue of Liberty’s face, set against the backdrop of the New York City skyline. The imaginative design brings humor and local flavor to the act of voting.

Ryker said his inspiration came from a conversation years ago with a staff member at the Boys and Girls Club. When he asked her what her favorite food was, she replied, “Pizza.” He followed up with, “Animal or monster?” and she replied, “Monster.” From that moment, his “pizza monster” character was born.

Ryker was honored during the Ulster County Legislative Session on October 21, where commissioners from the Board of Elections and members of the Ulster County Legislature recognized his achievement. The event included remarks from local officials and a group photo to celebrate this meaningful accomplishment.

Ryker shared a special thank you to his elementary school art teacher, Rebecca Black, for encouraging the class to participate in the contest and supporting his creative efforts.
