Saugerties Teachers Shine at Prestigious Math Conference!

This year, Saugerties introduced teachers to "The Writing Revolution", an evidence-based strategy designed to enhance students' writing, reading, thinking, and communication skills. Junior High teachers Justyna Leverich and Peter Omura received extensive training earlier this year in the method and are now flourishing with it in their classrooms!

At the 64th annual Hudson-Mohawk Valley Area Math Conference at Albany High School, they shared how they incorporate writing into math instruction—giving students concrete ways to strengthen both their mathematical understanding and writing skills.
