Six Junior High Students are Selected as Winners of the Elks Lodge Americanism Essay Contest
The contest theme was “What Does Service to Your Country Mean to You?” Winners each received a $100 gift card, and their essays have advanced to the District and State levels, with a chance to move on to the national competition in July 2026.

On June 12, 159 Grade 8 students from Saugerties Junior High School celebrated an important milestone as they moved up to Grade 9 during a ceremony held in the Saugerties High School Auditorium.
