Hands-On Lesson Brings the Electoral College to Life for Students

While many students start out assuming that the candidate with the most popular votes becomes president, this exercise helped clarify the unique role of the Electoral College in determining election outcomes, as envisioned by the founding fathers. By participating in an engaging Electoral College Simulation, students gained a clearer understanding of this system in a way that made learning both interactive and enjoyable.

The Dames of Thrones tournament in Halfmoon, New York, brought together girl wrestlers from across the country for an incredible display of talent and sportsmanship. This event, designed to highlight and celebrate female wrestlers of all skill levels, gave our athletes the opportunity to compete in a national-level tournament with 3-5 matches each under NYSPHSAA rules.
