Handwashing Keeping Your Family Healthy

Wednesday will remain our 100% remote schedule for all students. Our staff is here to help and we encourage everyone to continue keeping the lines of communication open during the Spring semester. Please be assured that we are taking extensive precautions and are going to continually work to meet the needs of all our students.
As we prepare for the Third Quarter of the 2020-2021 school year, we are gathering information on the intentions of our families to participate in full remote or hybrid in-person schooling and whether district transportation will be utilized. We are asking all parents/guardians to complete this survey for each student you have in the Saugerties Central School District.

I would like to thank you all for your support and patience during these unprecedented times in education and in our society. Saugerties is a strong community because of its ability to work together and find a common vision. Our focus is to provide the safest and best academic environment for our students to reach their goals. Please be safe and be kind to one another.
Sincerely,
Kirk Reinhardt

Superintendent's Updated -About Weather - Tuesday, November 3, 2020, updated - 2:30 PM
November 3, 2020
Dear Parents and Guardians:
As we head into the winter months, I’d like to address the District’s plan regarding the use of snow days, particularly, while we are in hybrid mode.
If there is a weather-related event causing dangerous road conditions or any other conditions that may impact the health and safety of students and staff, the district will continue to use delayed openings/snow days, as we have done in past years.
In any other scenario, if it is deemed possible to operate the school remotely (ie. when there is a water main break, etc.), we will do so. If remote instruction needs to be canceled for the day, it will be considered a snow day.
There are six (6) snow days allocated for the 2020-2021 school year. If more than six (6) snow days are used, the make-up days will be taken from spring recess. If less than six (6) snow days are used, the unused days will be added to Memorial Day weekend and/or spring recess (please refer to the district calendar). As always, the health and safety of students, staff, and the community continues to remain a priority.
Sincerely,
Kirk Reinhardt
Superintendent
