Technology Students Win Awards at Regional Robotics Event
Two teams of technology students from Saugerties Junior-Senior High School won awards at the New York City SeaPerch Regional underwater robotics competition on the weekend of April 14 and 15. This was only the second competition Saugerties students took part in.
The junior high team of Ryleigh McCardle, Marlo Rothe, Ashlynn DeRonda, Mehal Mitra and Renee Baldwin won the Best ROV (Remotely-Operated Vehicle) Design with their Aqua RRAMM robot.
The senior high team of Mark Danza, Ethan Christiansen, Carter Vail, Aidan Gruen, and Aidan Jurofcik won the Best Engineering Notebook award.
All 20 of the participating students made Saugerties proud.
