New Business Manager

SAUGERTIES – On Wednesday, April 24, the Saugerties Central School District Board of Education appointed Jane St. Amour as the District’s new school business manager. She will assume her position on July 1 at an annual salary of $135,000.

St. Amour, a Nichols, New York resident, has 8.5 years of experience in public education and is currently employed as a school business executive at the Spencer-Van Etten Central School District in western New York. Prior to holding that position, St. Amour served in the same capacity for the Greater Southern Tier BOCES in Horseheads, New York.

Before entering public education, St. Amour worked as a deputy treasurer for Tioga County and as an internal auditor and accountant for Broome County.

She believes her experience working in the public sector not only helped her succeed in the financial realm, but also gave her some insight into working with the general public.

“My goals as the school business manager are to provide sound financial leadership to the Saugerties Central School District by working with the Board of Education and the superintendent to provide students with an education that will help them meet their potential, while at the same time being fiscally responsible to the community,” said St. Amour.

St. Amour succeeds Lissa Jilek, who left Saugerties to take a position with Highland Central School District.
