Overview

The vision of the Saugerties Central School District is to create and foster a safe, academically challenging, creatively nurturing and supportive environment in which all students are engaged in activities which promote learning.  This environment will be achieved through the active involvement of students, teachers, parents, support staff and administrators working together as a learning community.  It is our joint vision that students who successfully complete their educational experience at Saugerties Central School District will be prepared to contribute to and succeed in our increasingly global and technological society.  To that end, the Saugerties Central School District believes that continuous learning and reflection is essential for all students, teachers, administrators, and staff. As a result, we  provide research-based, data-driven, and teacher-driven professional learning opportunities so that our staff and students are empowered and inspired to be globally literate and reach 21st century success.
